Community Wrap 2016
scroll down

I knit an 18-foot wool scarf to share with my community. I visited the town hall, the post office, the library, local schools, fire houses and businesses. I asked each group to wear the scarf together and pause for a few moments, connected in warmth and unity. Each group or individual authored how they wanted to wear the scarf and if they wanted to be photographed or not. We held space together in care, collaboration, healing and laughter; in the small beauty of a few shared slow minutes that temporarily relieved us from our fast day.
